Keep it Fresh: Dessert Care Tips

Salted Chocolate Chunk Cookie

  • These cookies are great right out of the box but to take them to the next level (highly recommended), warm your oven to 350°F. Once pre-heated, pop them in for 3 minutes.

    • This is the part where I warn you about eating molten chocolate once it comes out of the oven. Let it rest for 1-2 minutes and then get in there!

  • These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to one week. For optimal freshness and flavor, we recommend freezing (in Tupperware) any cookies that will not be eaten immediately. When you’re ready for a cookie, warm as detailed above.

  • What NOT to do:  never store your cookies in the refrigerator or use a microwave to reheat them! Both will lead to hard, dried out cookies, and no one wins.

Macarons

  • Macarons taste their best at room temperature or slightly chilled – the buttercream is soft, the ganache is creamy, and the shells are nice and chewy!

  • Macarons will keep well for up to 5 days after purchase, though they do need a little special care!

  • To preserve freshness, plastic wrap the box or transfer to an airtight container. Take them out of the refrigerator about 20 minutes before serving to enjoy them at room temperature.

Cake & Cupcakes

Cakes:

  • Our cake tastes best at just below room temperature.

  • If you are serving the cake on the day that you pick it up, you can choose to refrigerate it or keep it out of direct sunlight in a cool area.

  • If you are not serving it the same day, refrigerate your cake and please take it out 30 minutes before serving to ensure soft cake and creamy buttercream.

Cupcakes:

  • It is important to keep cupcakes at room temperature – do not refrigerate them as this will dry out the cake.

  • We bake our cupcakes fresh every morning, and we recommend that you enjoy them on the day that you purchase them.

  • To preserve freshness, plastic wrap the bakery box or transfer to an airtight container.
